Legal Assistant (Litigation)
The Senior Legal Assistant provides comprehensive litigation and administrative support to attorneys and legal leadership. This role requires 7+ years of litigation experience, including case management, court filings, discovery support, trial preparation, and coordination with outside counsel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and serve pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
  • Manage state and federal court e-filings and track litigation deadlines.
  • Support all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Organize case files, exhibits, evidence, and document productions.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, courts, and internal stakeholders on active litigation matters.
  • Maintain legal records, case management systems, and litigation status reports.
  • Assist with legal holds, records retention, and compliance-related activities.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of legal assistant litigation experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of court rules, e-filing procedures, discovery, and trial support.
  • Experience managing multiple litigation matters and competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management/document management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Paralegal Certificate or equivalent legal training.
  • Experience supporting in-house litigation counsel and managing outside counsel relationships.
